Alumina Energy has developed low-cost and long duration particle packed bed TES technology with flexibility to use several low-cost and high temperature stable particles storage materials (HEATER). Particle TES allows a large temperature difference increasing the energy density and lowering cost by deploying low-cost vertical silos enabling a small footprint and using cheap particle media. The system integrates with renewable resources (electric or thermal) to charge during the day (~8-hours) and discharge zero carbon energy (thermal or electric) over long durations (12-24 hours) suitable for industrial process heat (HEATER-IPH) or utility long duration energy storage (HEATER-LDES) with LEC under $100/MWh.

Alea Labs has developed an ML/AI platform that manages networked Alea Air vents and the Alea FlexAir controller for the purpose of achieving optimum room-by-room temperature control at minimal energy consumption and cost. The vents and the FlexAir controller incorporate a large number of sensors that stream data to the ML/AI that predictively determine the optimum functional parameters for (1) the distribution or conditioned air to individual rooms and for (2) the control of output of the air handler proportionally to actual demand. The system is compatible with two-stage and variable-output modulating furnaces and AC units.

Off-Grid, lower-cost, synergistic wind and solar (PV, other) driven electrolysis production of "green" hydrogen and/or ammonia Carbon-free fuels is enabled by lower CAPEX and OPEX of (1) co-located, co-generating wind + PV plants; (2) simplified wind turbines and PV strings, close-coupled to electrolysis stacks array(s) at "wild DC" in novel-design electrolysis plants; (3) wind turbines operating in Self Excited Induction Generator (SEIG) mode via novel, proprietary power electronics; (4) eliminating Grid-delivery AC-DC power supplies, and redundant controls in a single SCADA system. Energy delivery to dedicated, high-purity, underground gaseous hydrogen transmission pipeline system immune to dangerous hydrogen embrittlement (HE).

It’s well known that using RO purified as make up water for cooling towers and boilers reduces limescale, corrosion, and blowdown water, while maintaining energy efficiency. Unfortunately, RO water production is costly because it requires source water pre-treatment by salt softening. AkwaMag pass-through magnetic technology is a game-changing solution, reliably neutralizing calcium lime scale at the molecular level without operational cost. Our RO system bypasses the salt softening requirement to lower purified water cost, and routinely reduces the brine waste to 25% - with proof of concept as low as 10% - versus 50% for the conventional RO products.

Our patented CRBBP Process helps utilities cost-effectively reduce their carbon footprint, by capturing CO 2, also remediate contaminated sites, then convert the resulting Biomass into a Biochar, to sequester the captured Carbon, or into a Bio-Coal Co-Fire Fuel.Using our CRBBP Process, one plants and multi-tasks very large and fast-growing Bio-Crops, to cost-effectively capture large amounts of CO 2, remediate air, soil and water, and make various Bio-Products, in which the captured carbon can be sequestered. Our CRBBP Process' multi-tasking feature makes the cost of all of its outcomes much lower, than if the Bio-Crops were grown for a single purpose. 

IHEX is the ability of a cold surface to freeze water without the latter sticking to the freezing surface. It is achieved through passive surface chemistry, namely by coating a heat exchanger with a certain polymer and immersing it all in a certain oil. When IHEX is applied to a heat exchanger, is leads to the practical ability of using the latter as the evaporator of an "ice chiller" which then makes an ice slurry. This in turn leads to many favorable technological characteristics such as high efficiency, high maximum discharge potential, and spatial flexibility in the product's deployment.

Utilities and SMBs are both under pressure to manage climate-related emissions but only utilities have acted due to differences in capacity. Aclymate, when integrated with utility data, allows SMBs to reduce energy consumption by leveraging interest in acting on climate without needing climate-related expertise and in 10 minutes per month. It provides a communication channel for utilities to load-shift by emphasizing climate-related characteristics of delivered energy. It also provides a marketplace for delivery of market-based alternatives like RECs and offsets. Finally, Aclymate provides social status driven behavioral changes through an escalating certification standard that customers desire. 

Batteries are a becoming a key component of electricity grids - but they are not always working perfectly, as a number of fires and sudden failures of battery systems in the US and around the world have shown. ACCURE solves these problems using cloud computing. We process BMS data from the battery systems to build digital twins of the assets. By this, we can detect anomalies way before a safety-critical event. Since 2020, this has prevented 3 battery fires in Europe. Additionally, we track and optimize the performance and lifetime of batteries, resulting in lower O&M costs and higher ROI.

We provide engineering to recycle coal ash or biomass ash into multi-functional chemical composite, such as for filters, masks, soil improvement, water treatment, and more. We have already completed two projects in Japan and Taiwan
